How to book badminton across South West London
Published 1 June 2026 · BadmintonBooker
You want a court on Tuesday at 7pm. Sutton Sports Village is on Better, Rainbow Leisure Centre is on Places Leisure, and your friend suggests Streatham on Flow. Without a plan you open three tabs, lose ten minutes, and still are not sure which hall has space.
South West London is dense with public leisure centres, but each operator runs its own checkout. BadmintonBooker does not replace those systems. It lets you scan availability across them, then click through to the right booking site when you are ready to pay.
Why one app is not enough
Better covers many Croydon and Surrey halls. Places Leisure runs centres such as Tolworth and Epsom. Lambeth sites use Flow. Everyone Active, Vivify, and MyCourts each have their own login and timetable layout. None of them show rival operators, so a player who only checks Better will miss an open court at Places.
That fragmentation is normal in UK public sport. It is also why a cross-provider search tool is useful: you compare times first, then book where the slot actually exists.
How BadmintonBooker fits in
- Pick the venues you care about, or start from our South West London hub with 17 live centres in the pilot.
- Set your date range and time window, then run a live availability search across the selected operators.
- When you find a slot, open the operator booking link for that venue and pay on Better, Places, Flow, or the relevant site.
Payment and refunds always stay with the leisure operator. We surface timetable data so you can make a faster choice, not handle checkout ourselves.
Session length and product names
A 60 minute court at Tolworth is not the same product as a 40 minute slot at Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre. Better and Flow often list both lengths with different activity names. Always read the product title on the booking screen before you pay, especially if you are organising a regular group that expects a full hour.
Operators in the pilot
Our Phase 1 area covers 17 venues across these providers:
Areas we cover first
The pilot groups courts around Croydon, Sutton, Merton, Kingston, Epsom, and Lambeth. Borough labels on the hub page help you scan local options without memorising every leisure centre name.

Practical tips
- Refresh your search if a slot disappears: popular evening courts sell quickly.
- School venues on Vivify may have different parking from standalone leisure centres.
- MyCourts clubs such as New Malden Sports Club organise courts by tab: pick the court on their site after you shortlist a time here.
